| Re-installing my ATI TV Wonder Pro remote control edition, after my computer crashed. This proram allows me to watch TV on my computer, record shows etc. I have an extra satelite so now we can watch different TV programs at the same time. I have run a splitter and cable to the basement and hooked it up with a radio remote, so that I can change the channels from downstairs or anyware in the house. This is what it looks like on the desktop: (please click on the thumbnail for a larger image) PROBLEM SOLVED (Yeah)! I sat up until 1:30 this morning, downloading the correct files. I was using the wrong version for my ATI card. Here is the email from AMD We have responded to your issue. Solution: Before continuing with the instructions below, please ensure that any antivirus, firewall or spyware applications be turned off. Un-installation:
Please follow the link below and select "Tv wonder" under option 1: http://www.ati.com/install
If there are items not removing from the add/remove programs, you will need to download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. Windows Installer Cleanup Utility: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301
1) Please install the Multimedia Center 9.08 bundle http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/xp/previous/tvtuner/tvwonderpro-may2005-xp.html http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/common/mmc9-08.html -there will be 3 downloads here -download all 3, and install it in the order show below: 1. TV Wonder pro driver (tv_wonder_pro_wdm.exe
2. DAO/MDAC (9-08_mmc_uci.exe)
3. Multimedia Center (9-08_mmc_enu.exe) Thanks for all your help, just a quick note on Audio. I went to control panel, 'Multi channel sound manager', and selected enviroment, LIVING ROOM. It turned out great with no echo on the speakers. Another tip after my computer crashed, my dial up was set on auto disconnect, not good when downloading large files. I will have to change the settings. Cheers from Peat | |
