3.7inch Ack Ack gun

Are there any ex-gun fitters out there who have worked on 3.7 ack ack guns ? What I want to know is how do you get the balancing springs back with a limited amount of equipment. I did them in my apprenticeship but not as far as striping them down and putting them back together. Hears hoping.
